Le prototype est conçu autour d’un banc de conception de National Instruments, composé d’une carte d’acquisition, la NI PXI-7841R, d’un châssis le NI PXI-1033, d’un bloc de connexion le NI SCB-68 et d’un logiciel de développement, LabVIEW avec le module spécialisé LabVIEW FPGA. Le cœur de la carte NI PXI-7841R est une cible FPGA, la Virtex-5 LX30 de Xilinx. La configuration du FPGA n’a pas été faite par le langage VHDL mais plutôt par une programmation graphique grâce à LabVIEW FPGA. Cette démarche offre la possibilité d’une conception aisée, sûre et rapide. Les résultats de la conception sont très satisfaisants et nous ont permis d’avoir un système totalement paramétrable et évolutif répondant aux exigences de sécurité électrique des équipements biomédicaux. Le prototype permet en outre la détermination de plusieurs paramètres cardiovasculaires et peut être utilisé comme moniteur de surveillance.
